MESSAGE FROM OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE TO THE SEER PEDRO REGIS IN BRAZIL
21st January 2010

Dear children, Madeira Island will be devastated and the inhabitants of the great city beside the Tajo River will experience a heavy cross. Bend your knees and pray. God has sent me to call you to sanctity. Walk the path to Paradise for which you were created. Humanity will carry this heavy cross because mankind distanced itself from its Creator. Come back. Your God is waiting with open arms. I am The Mother of Sorrows and I suffer due to what is coming unto you. Search for strength through the Eucharist and bravely testify to my calling. Courage, this is the message I give today in the name of The Holy Trinity. Once again I thank you for permitting our meeting here. I bless you, in the name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Peace be with you.

MADEIRA WAS BURIED UNDER MUD
La Stampa 22nd February 2010

Lisbon. Relief operations were intensified yesterday, in the tourist island resort of Madeira, an autonomous region of Portugal. This one day after a violent rainstorm caused at least 40 deaths and left dozens injured of which 70 are still hospitalized. The capital city of Fuchal is in chaos. Yesterday, the Portuguese rescue teams used bulldozers to search for the dead under the rubble left after the violent floods and landslides. Saturday night the Prime Minister Jose Socrates visited the island 900 km southwest of the continent and promised ?every assistance? so that Madeira can start the recovery effort. Sunday morning the rains stopped and revealed the desolation in Fuchal, the regional capital situated on the coast. The 100,000 inhabitants of Fuchal were awakened violently by the devastating torrents of mud. The authorities sent more rescue equipment and military engineers to help the Atlantic island whose bridges were destroyed and highways blocked by rocks and mud. Parts of the island such as Curral das Freiras were without communications. The only means of communication with the inhabitants of the municipality is by radio. ?We know that there are victims there, it is not a large number but we will not know the details until the rescue equipment arrives in the vicinity. Amid the overturned cars, destroyed bridges and torn off roofs, the inhabitants of Fuchal began to clear the land. ?The survivors are the priority? affirmed the regional president Alberto Joao Jardim. In the city center the mud had reached the first floor of some houses. Yesterday the debris and rubble continued to block the highway linking Fuchal to the airport, which had reopened that morning. On Saturday important resources, consisting of helicopters, a medical team, and rescue equipment, were mobilized from Lisbon on a military frigate. Also, pending is the arrival of a C130 plane with rescue dogs and divers to be used to locate missing persons.
