PORDENONE. WOODEN CHRIST BLEEDS IN A PRIVATE CHURCH
Original frame of Christ bleeding from the crown of thorns
PORDENONE (AUGUST 23th) - A wooden Christ, probably from the 1700?s, has bled into a small church in the province of Pordenone. The fact was filmed by TelePordenone, a local private television, that will broadcast this evening the event filmed by the Director Gigi Di Meo.
The small church is part of a private house in the area and is not open for worship. They were some women engaged as cleaning up staff to notice the fact. The owners of the dwelling could not explain the origin and the cause of what happened, but they said they were very impressed by the phenomenon. According to what Mister Di Meo said, Christ was brought into the church several months ago and placed above the altar in the centre of the nave. It would have been bought in an antiques market that takes place in Friuli. "The fact - explained Di Meo to the Ansa - has been "certified" only by a priest in the area. He was invited by the owners of the house to observe what was happening and he could see the wooden Christ bleeding."
