''OUR LADY WEEPS TEARS OF BLOOD'' MIRACLE IN LICATA
August 27th, 2011 - Mystery in Licata. An oil painting depicting the Virgin Mary of Good Repose, with the Christ Child in Her arms, would be weeping tears of blood.
AgrigentoFlash.it has reported it, saying that "the tearing would have had no interruption since August 23rd last year, since the owners of the painting, Giuseppe and Giovanna Amato, who live in via Gela, have noticed the strange phenomenon.
The picture was purchased a few days before in a shop in Licata."
Yesterday the couple called Totino Licata, the pastor of San Giuseppe and Maria Tomasi's church, who witnessed himself the tearing, he "personally had the occasion to note that there was no trace of hidden gadgets in the back of the picture, no sign of moisture, even checking it in backlight: at first glance, the fact is inexplicable, " you read in the Agrigento online newspaper .
The couple from Licata have already requested that the nature of this event could be found out and that "if it will be considered a miracle we want the painting to remain in Licata."
