THE SECRET OF FATIMA
FIRST PART
Our Lady showed us a great sea of fire which seemed to be under the earth. Plunged in this fire were demons and souls in human form, like transparent burning embers, all blackened or burnished bronze, floating about in the conflagration, now raised into the air by the flames that issued from within themselves together with great clouds of smoke, now falling back on every side like sparks in a huge fire, without weight or equilibrium, and amid shrieks and groans of pain and despair, which horrified us and made us tremble with fear. The demons could be distinguished by their terrifying and repulsive likeness to frightful and unknown animals, all black and transparent. This vision lasted but an instant. How can we ever be grateful enough to our kind heavenly Mother, who had already prepared us by promising, in the first Apparition, to take us to heaven. Otherwise, I think we would have died of fear and terror
SECOND PART
You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. The war is going to end: but if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break out during the Pontificate of Pius XI. When you see a night illumined by an unknown light*, know that this is the great sign given you by God that he is about to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine, and persecutions of the Church and of the Holy Father. To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of reparation on the First Saturdays. If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred; the Holy Father will have much to suffer; various nations will be annihilated. In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she shall be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world.

THIRD PART
?Do not be troubled, dear child. I am the Mother of God speaking to you and begging you to proclaim in My name the following message to the entire world. In doing so, you will meet with strong opposition. Listen carefully and remember what I tell you: mankind must rectify itself. With a humble plea, they must implore God to forgive the sins they have committed and might commit. You ask Me for a miraculous sign so all may comprehend the words that I am addressing to mankind through you. You have just beheld the miracle of the sun, and everybody saw it, believers and disbelievers, country and town dwellers, learned ones and journalists, laypeople and priests. And now announce this in My name:
A great chastisement shall come over all mankind, not today as yet, nor even tomorrow, but in the second half of the twentieth century. What I had already announced at ?La Salette? through the children Melanie and Maximin, I repeat today before you, since humankind has been sacrilegious and has trampled underfoot My Gift. No longer does order reign anywhere. Even in the highest places Satan reigns and directs the course of events. Satan will succeed in infiltrating into the highest positions in the Church; he will succeed in sowing confusion in the minds of scientists who will design weapons that can destroy great portions of mankind in a few minutes. He will gain hold of heads of nations and will cause these destructive weapons to be mass-produced.
If mankind will not oppose these evils, I will be obliged to let fall My Son's arm. Then you will see that God will punish mankind even more severely and harshly than He did at the time of the great deluge.
The age of ages is coming, the end of all ends if mankind will not repent and be converted; should everything remain as it is now, or even worse, should it degenerate even more, the great and powerful will perish along with the lowly and weak.
A time of very severe trial is also coming for the Church. Cardinals will oppose Cardinals and Bishops will oppose Bishops. Satan will enter into Their very midst and also in Rome there will occur great changes. What is rotten will fall, and what will fall will not be retained. The Church will be obfuscated, and the entire world will be distressed by terror. These evils will come at a time when no King, Emperor, Cardinal or Bishop expects the One that nevertheless must come, in order to punish according to my Father?s will.
A great war will come in the second half of the twentieth century. Fire and smoke will fall from Heaven, the waters of the ocean will turn to steam, and the foam will upraise overturning and wrecking everything. Millions and millions of people will die from hour to hour. Those surviving will envy the dead. Wherever one will look at, distress, misery and desolation will be found the world over.
Can you behold it? The time is drawing near, and the abyss is ever deepening hopelessly. The good will die with the wicked, the great with the lowly, the Princes of the Church with their faithful ones, the rulers of the nations with their people. Death will reign everywhere, caused by senseless erring men, and by the partisans of Satan who will be at that stage, but only then, the master of the earth. Finally however, those who will survive those events and will still be alive, will call upon God and His Glory, and will serve Him as in the old times, when the world was not so perverted. Go, My child, and announce it. I will assist and be close to you at all times.?
